Double Wrap Bracelet Orange Agate & Meteorite

A mass of iron and nickel that struck Scandinavian ground roughly one million years ago. Discovered in 1906 near the village of Muonionalusta in northern Sweden.

Etch the cross-section with acid, and a geometric pattern called the Widmanstätten structure appears—a crystal arrangement formed over millions of years in space, cooling at roughly one degree at a time. No cooling rate on Earth can reproduce it. To make this pattern requires the timescale of the cosmos.

Origin — Magnitude — Permanence

Extra-terrestrial iron. Fell roughly a million years ago. Survived four ice ages. Wearing it recalibrates the sense of scale — personal concerns register a fraction smaller against that kind of timeline.

Formed as silica-rich solutions flow repeatedly into cavities in volcanic rock, building up layer by layer. The orange is determined by the oxidation state of iron.

Agate is among the world's oldest gemstones—worked specimens have been recovered from Egyptian sites dating to 3000 BC. The name "agate" derives from the Achates River in Sicily, where the ancient Greeks first found it.

Even from the same vein, no two patterns match. The Earth's chemistry shifted moment by moment as the layers settled. Those shifts themselves became the pattern.
