On the eve of Christmas, we had the honor of interviewing Ryan, a comic book artist living in Toledo, Ohio, about his real-life experience with AWNL Stockholm. Ryan is a huge fan of our meteorite collection and has a moving story to share about gifts that provide spiritual sustenance.
Ryan currently works at FedEx and dedicates his spare time to creating his own comic books. He also plans to start his own comic book publishing company when the time is right. This ambitious young man comes from a loving family of seven—his mother, father, a brother, two dogs named Tank and Hunter, and a cat named Nina.
Q: Why did you choose AWNL Swedish jewelry?

When asked how his meteorite bracelet plays a role in his daily life, Ryan shared a touching real-life experience with us...
Last summer, Ryan unfortunately lost his beloved grandmother, Rita, and his best friend, Alex, within the same week. He was devastated and heartbroken, so he took time off to visit his father and friends in Washington to try and find some healing.
"One day, when I was back there, my father decided to take me to the top of a nearby mountain called Blue Mountain, overlooking my hometown of Sequim as well as the towns near Port Angeles and Port Townsend," he continued. "Not far from the summit, we stopped on a ridge overlooking the entire Olympic mountain range. Just as we were about to continue to the top, my father slipped on some loose rocks and cracked his head open. He was bleeding profusely and lost consciousness five times. As I began to perform CPR, his breathing slowed to almost nothing, and I remember praying in my mind, hoping not to let my father die on that mountain."
To his surprise, "I was fortunate enough to pull my father back from the brink of death, stabilize him, and thoroughly clean and bandage his wounds. Not only did we safely get my father to the hospital, but we even finished the hike to the summit and back down!"
It sounds miraculous! "My wish came true," he told us. When he made that desperate wish for his father, he just happened to be wearing his meteorite bracelet that day!
Most importantly, Ryan also noticed that his anxiety and depression became easier to manage while wearing the bracelet. Sometimes, it is hard for a person to believe in something indescribable until they have actually experienced it. Whether true or not, the miraculous, empowering energy shown by these jewelry pieces is beyond our explanation and understanding.
Looking to the Future
Ryan hopes no one will ever have to encounter a terrifying and sad experience like his, and that everyone will be greatly blessed during their time off.
