TRACE & NARRATIVE / 痕跡與敘事
A calcium aluminium silicate first collected at the Cape of Good Hope in 1788 — the first mineral in Western record to be named after a person. Colonel Hendrik von Prehn brought specimens back to Europe; the stone entered taxonomy carrying someone else's name before it had one of its own.
Formed in the cavities of basaltic rock, where heated fluids deposit minerals layer by layer over geological time. The pale yellow-green is not dye — it is architecture. Aluminium and iron atoms arranged in an orthorhombic lattice filter light at a specific wavelength. Colour as structural by-product.
South Africa's Karoo region produces some of the clearest specimens, pulled from volcanic basalt millions of years old. Translucent, muted, hard to classify at first glance — it reads more like frosted resin or industrial glass than gemstone. That ambiguity is the point.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROJECTION / 心理投射
Anticipation — Composure — Subtraction
Filters noise at the source. Not through blockage, but by attenuating the resolution of the non-essential. Clarity through reduction. For those with established intent, seeking a landscape free of interference.
SELECTOR'S NOTE / 選品手記
Engineered for those with a physiological aversion to redundancy. It is less about seeking quiet and more about filtering noise at the source. I selected this material for its capacity to attenuate interference—ideal for those who have already established their mode of thought and simply require a lower resolution on the non-essential.
