TRACE & NARRATIVE / 痕跡與敘事
From the Greek "di," meaning "two," and "opsis," meaning "appearance." The crystal's cross-section shows two distinct faces depending on angle. One stone, two countenances.
A calcium-magnesium silicate of the pyroxene group. Sometimes found within kimberlite—the volcanic rock that hosts diamonds—making it a pathfinder mineral in diamond exploration. Not a diamond, but a signal that one may be near.
Sourced from Brazil, Russia, and Pakistan. Russian chrome diopside, coloured by chromium, shows a deep, saturated green. Mined from Siberian ground, its colour resembles a frozen conifer forest.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROJECTION / 心理投射
Understanding — Absorption — Growth
Helps knowledge settle from the head into the body. The transition from understanding to experience — that specific gap — narrows. During periods of heavy learning, the uptake improves.
SELECTOR'S NOTE / 選品手記
The head understands but the body hasn't caught up. Knowledge before it becomes experience has a floating quality — not yet grounded, not yet usable. I selected this stone for that distance. During a period of heavy intake, it's well suited to the person trying to turn absorption into use rather than theory.
