Chrysocolla
Provenance (產地)
Peru
Concept
OXIDIZED BRONZE
TRACE & NARRATIVE / 痕跡與敘事
A hydrated copper phyllosilicate, typically formed in the oxidation zones of copper ore bodies. The name derives from the Greek words for gold and glue, tracing back to its historical use in soldering gold by the ancient Greeks. It rarely forms individual visible crystals. It occurs as botryoidal or crusty masses, often intergrown with malachite, turquoise, or quartz. The presence of copper generates the distinct blue and green distribution. The surface topography is a direct map of the copper oxidation process. Sourced from Peru, Zaire, and the United States. A stone that maps the intersection of water and copper in the Earth's crust. It presents a surface of accumulated chemical reactions without relying on light refraction.
PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES / 物理特性
- Low hardness — avoid scratches and friction with harder materials
- Keep away from chemicals and prolonged water immersion
SYMBOLIC INDEX / 象徵體系
Heart | Anahata, Throat | Vishuddha
Taurus, Gemini
PSYCHOLOGICAL PROJECTION / 心理投射
Articulation — Output — Assembly
Clarifies verbal translation of complex variables. Assists in organizing scattered data points into communicable formats.
SELECTOR'S NOTE / 選品手記
Chrysocolla is highly saturated and naturally becomes the visual center of any arrangement. Because of its complex pattern, it is typically used as a primary stone to keep the overall design clean. It is suitable for those who regularly process and summarize complex information, serving as a focal point for concentration.
